Flake management disabled 2026-08-14
This Catalina Intel Mac no longer evaluates — nixpkgs 26.11 removed
x86_64-darwin — so its host entry is commented out in hosts/default.nix.
The machine still works, but Nix no longer manages it. It will either get a
working x86_64-darwin pin or be retired — tracked in
In-flight work. Its age keys (the bedford-*-macmini
host anchor and the per-mini tsunami-* user key in .sops.yaml) stay
secrets.yaml recipients until it is retired through the
decommissioning runbook.
This is Pop’s main machine. It runs macOS Catalina and cannot be updated to the latest version of macOS; while it was flake-managed, the Nix config pinned it with system.defaults.SoftwareUpdate.AutomaticallyInstallMacOSUpdates = lib.mkForce false. It is used for web browsing, email, and other general tasks.
